Work Duties:

  • Assist in the construction of walkways, driveways, pool decks, grading, sodding, planting, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, natural stone retaining wall, posts, gardens, etc.
  • Residential & Commercial landscape construction, carpentry and machine operation from time to time.
  • Operate various tools and equipment, including: Stone saw, jackhammer, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, wheel barrows, etc.
  • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects.
  • Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying.
  • Must be able to work long hours, be organized, have no problem being shown new skills and techniques.
  • Have strong work ethic and a strong sense of integrity and honesty.

Qualifications:

  • Experience is an asset but not required.

Job Duties:

  • Aid in the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers in the morning.
  • Cut grass, trim edges, leaf clean up, blow trimmings, trim hedges & shrubs, fertilize and water turf areas and perform other lawn care duties as directed by foreman.
  • Move and install soil, mulch and plant material to assist with the construction of landscape gardens and related areas.
  • Spray and dust areas to control insects and or weeds
  • Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and snow blowers.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Assist foreman in other work-related duties including small construction projects, shop and yard maintenance, vehicle and equipment maintenance.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations.
  • Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in the landscape/construction industry
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner. I.e. Push mower, grass trimmer, riding mower and others listed above.
  • Effective communication skills – must be able to carry out verbal instructions, read labels and signs, complete simple reports, report progress to foreman.
  • Time management skills.
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team setting.
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift.

We are looking for a new Manager/ Supervisor that will assist the maintenance team with their property maintenance, Softscaping and other property enhancements. This person would responsible for all of the property maintenance and Softscaping activities. From assistance on site, client interactions, ordering of materials, scheduling of work items. We are looking for a leader with experience that will be able to take the maintenance division to new heights.

Work Duties:

  • Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues.

  • Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas

  • Speak with clients and public regarding any/all landscape maintenance, Softscaping services that our maintenance division performs.
  • Meet with Management team weekly to set goals, give updates and provide information about the best direction to move going into following years and seasons.
  • Long-term employment is the goal for this person as we want to enhance our existing maintenance and Softscaping division.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the landscape maintenance industry.

  • Must possess a valid G class driver’s license. Clean driving record is an asset.
